Still no full Iowa results as of the time of this writing, but we have 71% reported in and Pete Buttigieg is running victory laps despite Deval Patrick comparing him to Trump. Bernie Sanders is glum about his standing, and Joe Biden is ecstatic about his fantastic showing.Continue reading “Day 260: 2/4/20”
As of the time of writing, the Iowa caucus results have not been announced. This hasn’t stopped campaigns from hyping their supporters up or bracing for bad news. Mike Bloomberg is dismissive of Iowa entirely, and Elizabeth Warren has decided that this is the official start of the primary and caucus season. Pete Buttigieg’s team stuck around to clean up, and Bernie Sanders was shouting about being attacked before the caucuses even began.Continue reading “Day 259: 2/3/20”
This is it. The official start of the 2020 Democratic Primary and Caucus season (though Elizabeth Warren argues differently). The Iowa caucuses begin in an hour, and by this time tomorrow, we should have our first delegates assigned. Final money pushes were all the rage over the weekend, with a few candidates also pushing for final get-out-the-caucus calls. Pete Buttigieg gave me some information on how the caucuses get scored and what we’re looking for.Continue reading “Days 257 and 258: 2/1/20-2/2/20”

It was the first FEC deadline of the year, and one of the candidates just couldn’t take the pressure. Thursday was the day before an FEC deadline, and the email count is ramping up. Andrew Yang has some new merchandise for me, while Tom Steyer didn’t bother to get in my inbox–why would he need money? Bernie Sanders is fighting everyone and everyone is fighting him, while Pete Buttigieg remains the most consistently positive.Continue reading “Day 255: 1/30/20”
The asks on Wednesday were not a very diverse crowd. Every single one of the campaigns that emailed me asked me for money. How they asked varied, from the desperate (Joe Biden) to the creepy (Andrew Yang) to the optimistic (Pete Buttigieg).Continue reading “Day 254: 1/29/20”
Tuesday was pretty average, with a lot of hype about raising money just before an FEC deadline. One of the candidates was obsessed with money to have money. The answer may surprise you!Continue reading “Day 253: 1/28/20”
Apologies for the late post! I swear I scheduled this!
On Monday, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders both promised me my donation determined the fate of the caucus, I dug into campaign’s swag bundles, and Tulsi Gabbard is determined to crush Hillary Clinton.Continue reading “Day 252: 1/27/20”
Pete Buttigieg was on Fox this weekend. Did you know he was doing a townhall on Fox? I knew he was. How did I know?
He emailed me.
