Day 528: 10/29/20

After a record-setting day, Joe Biden has backed off.

For all new readers: Welcome! I am currently on the mailing lists of Joe Biden and Donald Trump, though I have previously been on the mailing lists of 28 Democratic candidates! This blog breaks down recent emails with charts and excerpts. If you already know all of this, feel free to skip to the next chart!

It took some time for the Trump emails to kick in, so I started officially tracking his list on July 7. I have been tracking Biden’s for longer, but I will start comparing them as of July 7. All of these emails are going to a new email, and I have not donated, filled out surveys, signed petitions, or otherwise interacted with either candidate’s emails.

The rules I try to follow for the various categories are laid out in The Framework.

The emails are so repetative

Donald Trump sent 14 emails on Thursday, while Joe Biden sent 6.

Very little variation

Almost every email was a cry for money, with Trump demanding it and Biden begging for it.

No overlap

There really isn’t all that much to say about these emails. They are as repetitive as the days. Biden has a goal that he isn’t hitting. The numbers get smaller every email, but he’s worried all the same. Trump has a goal he’s determined to crush. His matches get bigger, but he’s determined all the same. Biden begs for that last minute push. Trump reminds me that the Democrats are going to destroy democracy. Round and round and round we go, one email after another.

My favorite is 825%. It looks like Pence is Trump’s excited prom date clutching at his arm.

4-46. How many 46s can Biden claim?
