Things are getting ugly in my inbox, and I’m not just talking about Donald Jr.’s new signature picture.

Trump | 9 |
For all new readers: Welcome! I am currently on the mailing lists of Joe Biden and Donald Trump, though I have previously been on the mailing lists of 28 Democratic candidates! This blog breaks down recent emails with charts and excerpts. If you already know all of this, feel free to skip to the next chart!
It took some time for the Trump emails to kick in, so I started officially tracking his list on July 7. I have been tracking Biden’s for longer, but I will start comparing them as of July 7. All of these emails are going to a new email, and I have not donated, filled out surveys, signed petitions, or otherwise interacted with either candidate’s emails.
The rules I try to follow for the various categories are laid out in The Framework.

Donald Trump sent out 9 emails on Thursday, while Joe Biden sent 5.

While Trump’s emails were all directly asking me for money, Biden sent one email to let me know that voting had begun in my state. He included resources on how to make sure I’m registered, how to find out where to vote, and who to call if I had any questions.

While Biden was mostly worried about not having the money he needs, Trump was mostly worried that I might not care about him anymore. He sent three emails noting that I was in the BOTTOM 1% of donors, that ALL OTHER DONORS in the bottom 1% had already donated, and WHY WASN’T I DONATING?
After all, if I don’t give money to get my name displayed on the debate livestream from his website, do I truly care about Trump? He could be IMPEACHED, you know… don’t I care? Where is my donation?

While Trump is still fretting about the Supreme Court vacancy, he is also trying to get me to enter a new contest to meet him at a special event in New Jersey. He will even set aside time in his schedule to take a photo with me.
It will be EPIC. (Warning: the photo you are about to see is not EPIC.)

In the past week, Trump has sent 5 emails calling things EPIC. I think he learned a new word and is very excited.
Also new to the Trump campaign is Donald Trump Jr.’s new signature photo. Everyone who sends a Trump email includes their photo in case I forget who they are.
Old New
As you can see, Junior finally decided to show off his beard. However, he didn’t want you looking at it too closely, so he went for a more zoomed-out shot.
I am looking forward to Eric’s next email, to see if they finally decided to update his grainy accident of a photo.
