Donald Trump was dealing in some pretty strong absolutes on Friday
For all new readers: Welcome! I am currently on the mailing lists of Joe Biden and Donald Trump, though I have previously been on the mailing lists of 28 Democratic candidates! This blog breaks down recent emails with charts and excerpts. If you already know all of this, feel free to skip to the next chart!
It took some time for the Trump emails to kick in, so I started officially tracking his list on July 7. I have been tracking Biden’s for longer, but I will start comparing them as of July 7. All of these emails are going to a new email, and I have not donated, filled out surveys, signed petitions, or otherwise interacted with either candidate’s emails.
The rules I try to follow for the various categories are laid out in The Framework.
Donald Trump sent 7 emails on Friday, while Joe Biden splurged on 4.
Trump remembered that he was supposed to be asking for money, so he sent a couple old chestnuts out: Kamala Harris is horrible. She is the meanest, most horrible, most disrespectful, MOST LIBERAL of anyone in the Senate.
Direct quote from his email.
He also sent the Mike Pence email in which he was just as vile, but he didn’t use nicknames for Biden or Harris. However, Pence wanted to make it very clear that this was the Republicans’ country, not the Democrats, so how dare we want to be valued.
Trump also warned me that I was in the bottom one percent of his supporters. Also, he didn’t want to meet just anyone, he wanted to meet me specifically.
Also, buy your flag for the Trump boat parades.
Biden, on the other hand, was offering me a Biden-Harris sticker
Biden remains excited about having Harris on the ticket and excited about the convention, though Elana Firsht did email to let me know that she was worried about the Trump money machine and please please please give money.
But Biden just wanted to make sure I’d be watching him accept the nomination.
