EDIT: This post was written when Trump’s emails were hiding in Spam. Here is the correct breakdown of this day’s emails.

Joe Biden is taking a moment to breathe after his big 100-day-out weekend bonanza.
Emails | |
---|---|
Total | 2 |
Biden | 2 |
Trump | 0 |
For all new readers: Welcome! I am currently on the mailing lists of Joe Biden and Donald Trump, though I have previously been on the mailing lists of 28 Democratic candidates! This blog breaks down recent emails with charts and excerpts. If you already know all of this, feel free to skip to the next chart!
It took some time for the Trump emails to kick in, so I started officially tracking his list on July 7. I have been tracking Biden’s for longer, but I will start comparing them as of July 7. All of these emails are going to a new email, and I have not donated, filled out surveys, signed petitions, or otherwise interacted with either candidate’s emails.
The rules I try to follow for the various categories are laid out in The Framework.

Joe Biden sent only 2 emails on Monday.

While both of Biden’s emails were donation emails, one was inviting me to a grassroots fundraiser with Elizabeth Warren. I believe this is the first Warren grassroots fundraiser I’ve been invited to via email. Pete Buttigieg and Barack Obama were the only other two to invite me to grassroots fundraisers for Biden.

The other email was from Susan Rice, asking me for $5 or whatever I could afford. She stressed the importance of this next election, that tens of thousands of American lives were literally on the line, and she talked about the importance of someone in the White House we can look up to. She had felt Biden’s compassion first-hand when her mother passed away, she said, and she knows Biden will be able to heal the country.
Donald Trump tweeted that Twitter trending topics should be illegal because they’re all mean to him. A tale of two men indeed.
