This day had an unusual email, but only one.

For all new readers: Welcome! I am currently on the mailing lists of Joe Biden and Donald Trump, though I have previously been on the mailing lists of 28 Democratic candidates! This blog breaks down recent emails with charts and excerpts. If you already know all of this, feel free to skip to the next chart!
It took some time for the Trump emails to kick in, so I started officially tracking his list on July 7. I have been tracking Biden’s for longer, but I will start comparing them as of July 7. All of these emails are going to a new email, and I have not donated, filled out surveys, signed petitions, or otherwise interacted with either candidate’s emails.
The rules I try to follow for the various categories are laid out in The Framework.

Joe Biden sent his usual 3 emails on Tuesday, but there was also an extra donor email slipped into the mix, for 4 donor emails in one day.

Biden’s three main emails were standard enough: one ask for money, one ask if I’d be voting for Biden in November, and one ask for me to endorse him.

The fourth donor email, however, was reminding me that there was a Zoom meeting for Michigan volunteers for Biden. What was interesting about that, however, was that I was never told about the Zoom meeting for the first time (through this email).
Over the weekend, Biden had emailed me to tell me about this training and invite me to join, but only through my personal email. He didn’t send that email to my BTE account, so I assumed they were kept separate. It was really a surprise to get the follow-up reminder email to both accounts.
Other than that one donor email, though, there wasn’t anything overly exciting in the inbox. I did get sent a “Please read this email all the way through” email, which I read all the way through, as I do all the other emails I get sent.
Do you know what was so important that I had to read all the way to the end?
Biden wanted to let me know that Trump has very thin skin and the American people deserve better, so I should give him money.
It didn’t really feel all that urgent or important or even ground-breaking to me…
