Another newsletter day! Those are my favorites!

For all new readers: Welcome! I am currently on the mailing lists of Joe Biden and Donald Trump, though I have previously been on the mailing lists of 28 Democratic candidates! This blog breaks down recent emails with charts and excerpts. If you already know all of this, feel free to skip to the next chart!
It took some time for the Trump emails to kick in, so I started officially tracking his list on July 7. I have been tracking Biden’s for longer, but I will start comparing them as of July 7. All of these emails are going to a new email, and I have not donated, filled out surveys, signed petitions, or otherwise interacted with either candidate’s emails.
The rules I try to follow for the various categories are laid out in The Framework.

Another Monday, another 3 emails from Joe Biden.

Biden’s emails were mostly about his campaign, though he did ask me to donate to his campaign fund. In exchange, he had a new sticker ready for me!

I don’t think there’s been a single Biden sticker I’ve thought “hey, that’s nifty” for.

However, the real gift of Monday was the newsletter email. Biden’s newsletters are some of my favorite emails of all 15,000+ emails I’ve received. They really give a feel for his personality, the man behind the campaign. I have no problem believing that he actually has a hand in writing them, and I actually open them as soon as I see them land in my personal inbox. They’re pretty much the only Biden emails I bother to read through my personal email.
Biden packs a lot of asks into his newsletters. He gives things to read and watch, asks me to engage by sending him questions, asks for a donation, and offers me links to virtual events I can attend. It’s really got something for everyone, and I appreciate it every time I see it.
